Chrysostomos Papavassiliou is the Founder and CEO of Island Oil Holdings, a group of companies with a focus on the trading and physical supply of marine fuels. He has led the Group through thirty plus years of sustained growth; today it employs 290 people, owns 12 vessels, and has office presence in 9 countries. His past experience includes appointments related to the shipping and marine fuels industry. He is a recipient of a full scholarship by the Fulbright Program, having received his MBA from San Francisco State University and serves on the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Shipping Chamber, among other organisations.
